No card is the best everywhere. Colour shows how many ranked cards you can get in each country, or the most you could keep there on your profile. Tap a country to move your profile.

Top 3s

The short lists, by the numbers

Each list sorts by one number you can check. They re-sort when you change your country, spending or trips. No card pays for a place.

FX tests

What spending abroad really cost

Real purchases, checked against the mid-market rate. Even a card that says 0% FX usually costs more once the card network takes its cut. The rankings use these measured numbers.

Every crypto card we track, with where it works. Cards without full fee terms stay in this list but out of the ranking until their terms are published.

Method

How the number is made

One formula for every card, Pelikan × ether.fi included. Where a source is unsure we take the less generous number.

What we add

  • Cashback through each plan's real monthly bands and reward caps.
  • Travel bonuses only on flights booked through that card's own channel, and only when you turn that on.
  • Travel perks in kind at their stated value, such as a lounge membership or a voucher, only with flights through that card's desk. Shown as their own line; switch "Count travel perks" off for cash only.
  • The plan that pays you most, by name.

What we take off

  • Plan fees over the first year.
  • FX on every purchase in a currency the card does not settle for free: the card's fee or 1%, whichever is higher, plus 0.3% for the network rate. Measured FX replaces this when a card was tested.
  • Conversion and spend fees on every purchase.
  • Locked tokens lose 15% a year. Cash held above a month of spend costs 4% a year.
